I was recently told that my last entry sounded as if I were angry and fearful. I would like to address this comment with the following:
The point I was trying to make was I am amazed at the power of television and newspapers in this country. It has become the venue for people to share their opinions and switch around the facts to create a desired outcome. No longer do the masses think for themselves. I find this very frustrating: I admire those who share with me a differing opinion using substantial facts for lively and thought provoking conversation
I am sad that the past election was based for the majority of people purely on race and believe it did not bode well for those claiming we have reached a milestone in our countries history. It seems more a type of affirmative action and guilt cleansing. The secondary point I was trying to make was this: If I used the same titles for magazines, organizations and other forms of current media available today, substituting the word white for black, I would be censored and ridiculed; labeled a racist. Simply using the word “black” to describe another is construed as racial slurs. Where is the equality in this type of behavior? The equality is hidden from all who wish to expose it through the demands of political correctness.
I believe that this election was hijacked by a nation who has become dependent on television to instruct them on the ways of the world. This too, saddens me. Brainwashing should be done away with and not encouraged. However, advertising has shown us a new path to desensitization of the mind.
I am not fearful of the world and the changes that are taking place because there has always been evolution. Global warming does not concern me as much as the poisoning of both bodies and environment by doping up the world. It is the controlling of the masses through desensitization that causes me to pause in thoughtful wonderment of where we are heading.
I am definitely in favor of a smaller government and more personal responsibility. I am in favor of term limitations and smaller retirement settlements for those involved in both the senate and the house. I did not support the bailout. I believe in preventative health care first and foremost as the direction that health care should be taking. I believe that the pharmaceutical companies are doing a great job of covering up symptoms of real health care issues and medicine has become the number one business in this country making trustworty healthcare almost impossible. I believe that people have the right to speak their minds. I love that the United States was founded as an alternative to other forms of government and wonder at the logic of those who would turn us into a “World Order” and change us from our humble beginnings into the same format as those who cry out to us for help.
Spiritually I know there will never be world peace. Humans are social beings, therefore peace needs to flourish in our most sacred social settings; families. Yet think of the irony of promoting diversity within our families and then asking for cohesion. It is no different in the world. Diversity means to divide and that is what we are doing every day in this world: Creating diversity.
Thanks again for allowing me the opportunity to share my opinion.

2008 ELECTION
Well, here it is the day after this historic election and our future is being foretold, I believe, by the world's response to this victory. It seems there is rejoicing around the world for our 44th president elect. How can one man command such control before we've even discovered who he is?
Most people are elated with Obama being the first black man elected as president of the United States. It seems to be the sentiment of those he excites that we arrived at this opportunity via the civil rights movement and its afterglow. My nephew says that Obama is a simple black man with a vision. Many say he’s intelligent and trustworthy. Praises flow off the lips of Obama supporters; mesmerized by his obvious polish and charisma. He’s turned the heads of Hollywood and reeled in the newspapers and broadcast networks with unbelievable ease. He elicits chants of change.
I would like to ask a few questions. First, how far have we really gotten with equality? We have given blacks an abundance of political freedoms while sweeping white freedoms out the door. Whites may not say anything that can be construed as “racial” but blacks are forgiven because of their past history; a history that today’s whites had nothing to do with. We are not allowed to use the word “white” in advertising while blacks can use “black” in titles and descriptions. It is not politically correct to use any slang against blacks but it is alright for blacks to call whites names. Wake up people, this is not equality, it is pandering. How far have we really come? White pastors are not allowed to endorse candidates for fear of losing their non-profit status but Reverend Wright can yell from his pulpit slanderous innuendos against our government and preach to his congregation the advantages of electing Obama? The list could go on and on but I think you get the point.
Second, I would like to address “the simple black man with a vision”. I don’t know how simple he could be to have raised over 650 million dollars to buy this election! Where did this money come from and why is it that nobody cared to find out?
Third, the joys on the faces of Obamaites, (Definition: Those who produce no proof of anything this guy has ever done for anyone except himself and preach his readiness for the presidency) must be the result of some sort of hypnotic trance they have fallen under. Entertainers help Obama mold their minds. Many can not even choose a good book to read and instead rely on the words of Oprah to pick their literary therapy. They insist they are individuals but that word has been transformed over the past years to mean “those who do what the masses tell and expect them to do”.
Finally, a presidential elect who has most countries of the world doing a “happy dance” is, in my opinion, the most frightening part of all. The United States was born from the desire of her people to be different than the rest of the world. There is something that doesn’t smell right with this development.
Now, you may have a lot to say about my opinion and I am okay with that….it is the United States and we have the freedom to disagree on things. To this end, I want to ask some questions to ponder:
We have contributed to others with unabashed charity even in the midst of our own losses. To be told that those we supported in this race may be trying to make a virtue out of “selfishness” was an insult to us all.
Why should we be told where to put our charity?
Hugo Chavez is looking forward to meeting with Obama. What’s wrong or right with this?
Mandatory health care coverage for our citizens will force payments into a system that may or may not honor your healthcare beliefs. How is this good?
Why is it that the media keeps talking about how tough it is going to be for Obama? Is this really the worst economic crisis we’ve ever faced? Why?
Global warming, global cooling, global warming, global cooling…which will it be next year?
The media keeps saying we are in two wars. Last time I looked we were not at war with anyone. No declaration has been made or was I asleep when it happened?
Obama’s heritage is not just black but white as well. Did this help him get to where he is or didn’t it matter?
Last, the housing crisis. Who really is to blame?

Women who hate Sara Palin
I am absolutely astounded at the behavior of my gender and for that matter, the human race in general. Witnessing supposed intelligent individuals hissing hatred through their pinched and contorted lips would be almost funny if it were not so unfounded. The female media, female movie industry and female left leaning political pundits have gone too far. Their male counterparts are even more despicable. Where have the attempts to practice acceptance of differences and tolerance of others gone? Instead of an election we should be holding a funeral for the death of humanity.
Those who preach love for same sex, freedom of choice, rehabilitation for criminals and peace in Iraq should try switching it up a bit. Those who believe they cannot tolerate same sex involvement, want to end abortion, punish criminals and want to fight terrorist activities while liberating another country, should also try switching it up a bit. Everyone should go back to basic sandbox rules; share the toys and don't throw sand. Learning by example is still the best form of teaching.
Women are acting like renegade killer bees who sense a new bee ready to be queen and are agitated. This new breed of bee is out of control and they do not care that the survival of the hive depends on cooperation. They would rather attack the proposed leader and leave her for dead. If this is where the woman's movement has taken us, then we need to revolt against it. Where is the support we've all worked for gone? We don't need to agree with her politics but we should be rallying against the sexists pictures and statements being made about her.
Look, Sara Palin is no Hillary Clinton or Geraldine Ferraro and, for some folks from my point of view, that's the best thing about her. Though some nasty cartoons have been drawn of Hillary, none have made it into the Gary Trudeau cartoon strip like Sara has. Mocking Sara's family goes against the Clinton rules of "leaving Chelsea" out of political games. It seems to me what's good for the goose should be good for the gander. Too bad no one else feels this way.
Why is is that this intelligent, talented and aggressive woman is being judged on beauty alone? (I'm assuming this is true since when asked why she's awful no one has a logical answer but spew forth only emotional retorts!)
Women, wake up. You are no different than the male chauvinist pigs we've all fought against. I guess the "pig with lipstick" comment could apply.

Chiropractic under fire...again.
I wrote this letter in response to an organization that is trying, once again, to discourage our scope of practice in Michigan. Please let everyone know that we need help to "snuff out" this kind of garbage. The website I'm responding to in my letter is educatedontlegislate.org.
Mr. Ford,
I read with interest your perspective on chiropractic health care. It's unbelievable in this day and age, with the history of chiropractic and its benefits, that you still feel the way you do. Perhaps the anti-trust suit won against the AMA is no longer "fresh" in your mind? It is sad when fear of competition is the driving force in the caring of patients as it appears to be with the affiliated groups on your website. I feel for the poor souls that you claim you want to help.
Let me just remind you that, by their own admission the AMA members killed 250,000 people in one year by illicit medicine! How many people died from chiropractic...directly, not through hearsay? We are tired of hearing that "my aunt's second cousin removed and then re-married to a neighbor in Pookieville, New Hampshire died after an adjustment!" or yet, "had a chiropractor break their neck." This kind of telephone game rhetoric is just not acceptable anymore.
The profession of chiropractic is an honorable one and we try very hard not to tell the truth about medical as they continue to tell lies about chiropractic.
Last but not least, our profession was called out by a group, which claims it is helping to stamp out fraud, for a million dollar square off in the treatment of injuries and disease. It is run by one of your affiliates. We accepted and they never got back to us! Wow. Now there's some confidence.
Remember Mr. Ford, M.D. simply stands in my opinion for More Drugs, More Disease and More Death. Your organization has been in control for too many years; for we continue to see disease and death go up and quality of life go down. Perhaps education is the key. Education that puts Chiropractic in the forefront of health care. We can only do better, it would be impossible to do worse.
Yours in health,
Mary Jo Boven

An email I received. My opinion is you should take the time to read it!
SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT
This email comes in three parts:
Part 1
In just one year; Remember the election in 2006? Thought you might like to read the following:
A little over one year ago: (Referring to 2005.)
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.
Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:
1) Consumer confidence plummet;
2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.50 a gallon;
3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);
4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;
6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.
America voted for change in 2006, and we got it!
Remember it's Congress that makes law not the President. He has to work with what's handed to him.
Quote of the Day........"My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it." -- Barack Obama
Part 2:
Taxes...Whether Democrat or a Republican you will find these statistics enlightening and amazing.
www.taxfoundation.org/publications/sho w/151.html
Taxes under Clinton 1999
Single making 30K - tax $8,400
Single making 50K - tax $14,000
Single making 75K - tax $23,250
Married making 60K - tax $16,800 & nbsp;
Married making 75K - tax $21,000 & nbsp;
Married making 125K - tax $38,750
Taxes under Bush 2008
Single making 30K - tax 4,500
Single making 50K - tax 12,500
Single making 75K - tax 18,750
Married making 60K - tax 9,000
Married 75K - tax 18,750
Married making 125K - tax 31,250
Both democratic candidates will return to the higher tax rates.
It is amazing how many people that fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever. If Obama or Hillary are elected, they both say they will repeal the Bush tax cuts and a good portion of the people that fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen. This is like the movie The Sting with Paul Newman; you scam somebody out of some money and they don't even know what happened.
PART 3:
You think the war in Iraq is costing us too much? Read this:

forward it to every legal resident in the country including every representative in Washington, D.C. - five times a week for as long as it takes to restore some semblance of intelligence in our policies and enforcement thereof.

Step Out and Speak Up!
Amnesty for Illegal Aliens
Okay, this is a hot topic that even our presidential candidates avoid talking about but surprise; I have an opinion about it!
Years ago I knew a man that had come into the United States from England for a visit. Instead of returning to the UK at the end of his stay, he remained in the U.S. For years he lived in fear of the authorities finding him and deporting him.
Eventually, he was granted amnesty and lives freely now. During his “illegal time”, he never took any help from the government. He was self sufficient and did not take advantage of our welfare system. He loved the U.S. and never, ever flew a British flag anywhere. His dream was to become an American, not to use America. There’s a big difference between the two.
Now, compare this with a taxi ride I was given in Puerto Vallarta where the taxi driver was complaining about the U.S. He said that we didn’t care about others, only ourselves! Can you imagine a country like ours who gives more than any other country in the world and he was convinced we were selfish! I inquired where he had learned his English and he told me that he had worked in Los Angeles for 7 years. He made enough money to build a nice house in P.V and was happily back in the land he was born in. I asked him if he missed it and he said he only went there to make the money and then return to where his heart was, Mexico. He was upset, however, that his brother could not go because he too, wanted to build a house and get ahead. Yet the reason he was mad was that the people who helped them sneak into the country were charging too much! You read that correctly. They were charging too much!
I also know of people who are working here and have no intention of going back. They expect to have all of our rights as citizens and also expect some extras. They want to stay but make no attempt to give back. They refuse to learn English, display only Mexican flags and mock our country.
So, with the above scenarios, what is the answer?
I believe that we need to stop the border crossings occurring everyday. That is the most important thing we can do. No matter what it takes, we need to stop the illegal entrance of people into the U.S. This is for both our gain and the safety of those trying to come over. Now we can deal with those already here.
I believe that the only flag that should be displayed and flown in public for allegiance in our country is the AMERICAN flag. Last, but not least, we definitely have to start speaking English and to define it as our homeland language. I believe we can give help to those who really desire to be here but they must give back by showing through their actions that they desire to become AMERICANS. Work programs should be enforced, (we already have many) for those who want to work as visitors from another country.
These are but a few of the steps we need to take. I, by no means, want to underestimate the work necessary to address and correct this issue. Talk is not good if it only comes from one side. We need to speak up to everyone we can about our feelings. Let representatives know how you feel. I have with letters and signing petitions and faxes.
Step out and speak up. Just my opinion.

Bank On It
What our friend below predicted is true, we are waking up homeless on the continent our fathers conquered. A record number of homes are being foreclosed on everyday! Hear the pleas of the people: Restructure the loans and cut interest rates on all loans including credit cards. This will make it feasible for hardworking Americans to pay because the majority of those in trouble truly have a desire to meet their obligations. I look around and see struggling families trying to make ends meet. Even those who are able to keep their homes are losing value every day. These homes were a part of their retirement. The banking industry is the guilty party here, you can bank on it. We should have more control given to us at the state level. The banking industry is complicated enough but federally controlled banks are even worse.
"We need less regulation and more salvation." Mary Jo Boven, Letter to the People via Blog, April 30,2008.
Mary Jo's Opinion.
“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.”

Horoscope Hold Up
This was my Horoscope today. I think I’ll heed the advice and share my opinion with you tomorrow. Have a great day!
Aquarius
Your deep feelings about a controversial issue might make it a very important topic of conversation for you, but not everyone you're with today is going to be open to talking to you about it. Resist the urge to preach or try to convince them to join you in your opinions. Not only could it potentially alienate people who really like you, it could do your cause more harm than good. Separate your passion and personal beliefs from social conversation today. Avoid topics that make people uncomfortable.

Celebrate Life
The best way to celebrate life today is to enjoy the sunshine! Take a walk, ride your bike, read a book on a park bench or take out your convertible and put the top down. No matter what you have planned, ENJOY!

Scientific Frankensteins
One definition of science is the systematic knowledge of the physical or material world gained through observation and experimentation.
Here’s some good science for you.
Apparently, the almighty flu shot, that everyone was urged to get, was a flop. Seems scientists messed up on the formula; they mixed up the wrong batch, failing to prevent the public from catching the flu bugs that were flying through the air into America this year.
Every year they try harder and harder to convince us to poison ourselves with new mixtures of flu shots. The government again, helps promote mass immunization to ward off whatever strain is going to appear for that season. (I would like to know where the CDC gets their crystal ball because there’s a lottery I’d like to win!)
When are we going to come to our senses and admit that science is not necessarily good for us? You know, animal activists don’t want animals used in testing but willingly submit themselves and their children for free testing every flu season. Wow. Who, in that group has ever thought about this?
I believe in the alternative approaches to health care. The mainstream scientists claim that healing specialties, such as Applied Kinesiology, are not scientific. I say, “Thank God”. It keeps people from being used as guinea pigs and keeps them poison free.
In closing I’d just like to say, keep the medical scientists in their labs where they can continue to create their medical Frankensteins. Let’s just make sure that the government doesn’t force all of the scientific monsters they create on us!

Texas Mess-o-care
April 17, 2008
This letter is a wake up call to Americans. We need to bring back the right to be a parent and to live a life we choose. This whole operation in Texas is just the beginning of what the government intends to do. They keep referring to this group as a “cult”.
First of all, let’s examine some definitions of cult and what it could infer.
1. A particular system of religious worship, esp. with reference to its rites and ceremonies. (Could this be applied to Catholics, Jews, Protestants, Baptists etc. as well as Islamics?)
2. A group or sect bound together by veneration of the same thing, person, ideal, etc. (Wouldn’t this apply to the medical profession, media, rehabilitation programs and gay movement groups?)
3. The object of such devotion. (Possibly drugs, mind control, power and money?)
4. A group having a sacred ideology and a set of rites centering around their sacred symbols. (Immunization and drug control of the masses by the group called the “pharmaceutical industry”. When anything is brought up about the safety or effectiveness of such rites, the government, bought and paid for by this industry, just passes new legislation to protect them!)
These are just a few definitions and examples of cults. Many people are saying that this “cult” in Texas is breaking the law by having men with more than one wife. (Yet, when gays wanted to “break the law” and get married, that was condoned, and when people want to break the law and attack the Olympic torch runners because of China, that is okay too.)
I find it very troubling that in today’s culture, the government finds it necessary to interfere with just a call from an UNVERIFIED INFORMANT YET TO BE FOUND and by this call, removes infant children from their mothers. (These children are going to be scarred from this abrupt invasion into their lives. Moreover, we are going to pay in the future to rehabilitate and medicate the “confiscated children” for the emotional trauma the state of Texas has inflicted upon them.)
I find it troubling too, that the media has already proclaimed this group guilty without substantial proof. (The talk show hosts just run their mouths and do nothing productive when they judge people without the proper evidence; Nancy Grace is by far the most inaccurate.)
It is amazing that we cannot see the folly of our ways. We are told that immunization saves lives. (Yes, it can take some too but we should submit our children to this medical cult and do their bidding because it is for the “good of the herd”.)
Isn’t bringing up a group of children, who are not dependent on the government to take care of them or their parent’s, good for the “herd”? (Yes, you may not like some of the beliefs or lifestyles they’ve utilized but the masses have already agreed that some concessions and even sacrifices of life need to be made for the protection of the “herd”. See above.)
In summary, just think about this. Parenting is personal. We do not have children to give to the government. Some children may end up in bad situations; it is inevitable due to the imperfection of man. That is the cycle of life. Yet we should be allowed to raise our children the way we choose. (Unfit parents will surface without the government using anonymous, unverified and possible prank phone calls to go after a group of people that they dislike.)
The government should fix the problems it has created not create more problems to fix!
